Our Approach

Safety Advice With An Operational Purpose.

Health and Safety Consultants Glasgow helps business buyers define the work needed to manage workplace risks.

What We Do

We focus on health and safety consultancy for commercial premises, employers and contractors across Glasgow and nearby areas. The starting point is the activity, decision or management problem you need help with. We use that discussion to agree the advice, assessment or document work required.

Our service areas include workplace risk assessments, safety audits, hazardous-substance assessments, policy writing and construction advice. Competent person support can help where a business needs access to relevant knowledge alongside its internal management. Each service needs a defined role and realistic deliverables.

Who The Service Is For

Facilities managers may need to understand who controls a shared work area. Employers may need to review a new process or organise their management records. Contractors may need help connecting risk assessments and work methods with the conditions they will encounter.

We welcome enquiries from offices, factories, workshops, schools and other commercial or institutional sites. The appropriate scope follows the activities and risks. We do not assume that a particular building type or business label tells the whole story.

The Standards Behind The Work

The Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974 and relevant supporting regulations provide the legal context. HSE guidance helps inform the assessment of workplace arrangements. Construction support follows the roles and responsibilities established by the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.

Advice concerning Scottish premises must use the appropriate jurisdiction. For fire safety in most commercial premises, that means the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005 and Fire Safety (Scotland) Regulations 2006. Specialist assessments and statutory appointments are identified separately rather than implied by general consultancy support.

What To Expect

Expect a discussion about your activities, premises, existing information and the reason for seeking support. The agreed scope should state the work included, any attendance and the outputs. Where evidence is missing or specialist input is required, that limitation should be explained.

Your managers retain responsibility for implementing controls and supervising work. Good advice helps them make decisions and organise follow-up. A report needs a route to action, including a responsible person and a way to check that the change has worked.
